The MSPA has several vacancies on its Board for the 2015 – 2016 term. We need your help so please consider joining! Two people sharing a position make things much easier and less demanding so please think about tag teaming.

In addition, we rely heavily on support from the parent community through the year with many requests to sign up to help or donate items needed for events. It’s often the same people on the Sign-Up Genius lists and we are forever grateful for them, but we need more help. Of course, financial contributions always are welcome so if you can’t volunteer or help in person, please cut a check to the MSPA to help fund great programs and enrichment for the students, school, and teachers.

Tuesday, November 3rd was Election Day with no school planned since polls usually would be open and held inside the JGMS gym. However, the midterm had nothing up for vote and no one to elect. Bedford Public Schools remained closed so that faculty could have professional workshops.
To get our JGMS faculty & staff through the day, the MSPA provided pizza, thanks to the donations of JGMS families acquired from the recent Fall Appeal, and we asked the JGMS parent community to give some help, food, and/or drinks.

To All 8th Grade Parents/Guardians:
I hope this letter finds you well and settling in to the routines of the new school year:
I am writing to give you a quick update on our preparations for our annual 8th grade trip to Washington D.C.
- First and most importantly, our trip dates have been changed to Tuesday June 6th-Friday June 9th. (This is listed incorrectly on the district calendar.) This change was made to avoid any conflicts with Bedford High School’s graduation on June 1st.
- [Registration and financial aid deadlines have passed. Please contact the school if you have any questions.]
- The majority of our planning will be completed in early spring including roommate placement and final trip itinerary.
- A mandatory parent informational meeting will be held sometime in early May.
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you have regarding the trip.
